Overview

Avesta is a multi-based real estate investment firm. Our primary business is the acquisition, renovation, and operation of multifamily apartment communities in select submarkets. We are a high-growth company: in 6 years we have acquired 12,000 apartments worth approximate $1B, executed more than 100 real estate transactions, and grown our combined investment-operating team to more than 320 employees.  Over the long term, we plan to expand our business into new geographies and add new products such as senior housing, redevelopment, or other similarly complementary businesses with a heavy emphasis on the integration of technology.

Responsibilities

  • Performance Optimization
  • Work with and through operations and construction teams to drive optimal performance.
  • Supervise liquidity events such as refinancing and disposition.
  • Lead business planning for assigned portfolio of approximately $300M AUM.
  • Acquisition Support and Business Plan Execution
  • Assist in underwriting prospective deals by providing relevant market and portfolio analysis.
  • Contribute to business plan and initial budget creation.
  • Lead and supervise business plan execution as owners’ representative.
  • Investor Relations Support
  • Manage Joint Venture partner relationships through periodic update calls, property tours/visits, and analysis.
  • Work with Investor Relations team to provide fund investors with clear, intelligent quarterly updates.
  • Serve as point-person for all investment performance related issues and enable operations, fundraisers, and acquisition teams operate more efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in real asset management
  • Experience in multifamily is preferred
  • Experience on GP/Sponsor team is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to lead team in high-growth, entrepreneurial, fast-changing environment
  • Hard-working self-starter who seeks out responsibility

Location: Based in Dallas or Austin.  Approximately 50% travel outside of local geography.

 

Compensation: Competitive with market rates.  Performance-based incentive compensation.
